Quinton Gibson is an American musician and guitarist. He was the lead guitarist of Petra from 2001 to 2003.

BiographyEdit

Quinton Gibson grew up in Evansville, Indiana. He showed passion for music from an early age, playing in several bands during high school.

After graduating, he moved to Marion, Indiana to attend Indiana Wesleyan University. After studying classical guitar, he completed a degree in Music and another in History. During that time, he also began teaching guitar at the University and at local music stores.

In 1992, Gibson moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he started playing and touring with different artists. In 1996, he was a member of Christian metal band Whitecross. He recorded the album Flytrap with them, in which he also contributed as a songwriter. In 1998, he was member of a band called Stir. He recorded the album Broken Tongues with them.

PetraEdit

In 2001, Gibson joined Petra and remained with them until 2003. He performed with the band during most of the Revival Tour as well as later dates.

After PetraEdit

In 2003, Gibson began touring with a band called Strange Celebrity, eventually leaving Petra. That same year, Gibson released an album with them called Remedy. Also, Gibson began working in recording, producing, and engineering.

More recently, Gibson has been touring with singer Darius Rocker, formerly from Hootie and the Blowfish.
