Petra Praise 2: We Need Jesus is the seventeenth studio album from Christian rock band Petra. It was released in February 18, 1997 by Word Records. It is the band's second praise album, after Petra Praise: The Rock Cries Out.

Album historyEdit

Petra Praise 2: We Need Jesus was recorded and mixed at The Sound Kitchen in Franklin, Tennessee. Additional overdubs were recorded at The Border, Battery, and The Snack Bar. Mastering was done by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering in Portland, Maine.

ReceptionEdit

Petra Praise 2: We Need Jesus earned Petra their tenth Grammy nomination. The album was nominated in the category of Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.

Petra Praise 2: We Need Jesus also won a Dove Award for Best Praise and Worship Album in 1998.
