Double Take is the nineteenth studio album from Christian rock band Petra. It was released in February 29, 2000 by Word Records, and their last with the label as well as with John and Dino Elefante. It is also the only album to feature keyboardist Trent Thomason, and the last to feature Pete Orta and Lonnie Chapin.

Album historyEdit

Double Take was recorded by J.R. McNeely at The Sound Kitchen in Cool Springs, Tennessee. However, vocals were recorded by John Elefante at The Fish Bowl in Brentwood. Mixing was handled by McNeely and David Hall, while mastering was in charge of Hank Williams at Master Mix.

ReceptionEdit

Double Take earned Petra their twelfth Grammy nomination, and their fourth win. The album was nominated in the category of Best Rock Gospel Album.
